VideoMax has now been updated to version 1.6, which includes an optional attribute for "enableFullScreen". I decided to write in some conditional logic into the class itself that sizes and displays applicable full screen items based on whether or not the full screen attribute is set to true or not. Note that if you choose to use the "enableFullScreen" option, that your VideoMax object WILL take over the entire stage of your Flash file, so you should only use it in standalone players. Also, you'll need to set your "allowFullScreen" attribute in the HTML embed code to "true", otherwise Flash won't be able to go to full screen.

As I've been looking into a fullscreen option, there are a few issues with implementing it that I've run across while testing/debugging. Most notably, the full screen option would require the video to be the ONLY object on your stage in your Flash movie. When the full screen command is run, it affects the entire SWF that is embedded in the HTML page. As such, launching any old SWF file full screen would make the entire SWF full screen, not just the video. This may not be a huge deal in some projects, but the original intention of VideoMax was to enable Flash developers to use it to create a video anywhere they want in their projects, not just standalone video players.

With that said, I'm working on making a standalone version of the VideoMax class that will be for use in standalone video players, that would enable full screen as an option. With this version, there is also the need for some additional resize logic that I'm working on, that will allow the control bar to resize accurately when going from normal view to full screen and back. I'll be posting an update once I get the standalone version completed and ready for use.

Thanks for the comments!
